Marilyn and Yvonne hosted The Grand LGBTQ Interest Group “Senior Olympics” event was held at the Cimarron Room. The fun filled afternoon provided plenty of laughs with a friendly competition of 4 Olympic style events followed up with awards and pizza. The first event was “Bicycling” with wheelchairs racing around a figure-8 course. The second competition was a “Triathlon” featuring a clothespin drop, pong and cup stack. Next up was “Shot put” using Boston Baked Beans finger-flicked across a table. Lastly, the group competed in “Basketball” crumpling up paper into balls and shooting them into baskets. After tallying up the results, the top 3 contestants were awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
